FAQ
How long is a newborn session?
Whether we’re in the studio or the comfort of your home, I like to dedicate at least 1.5 hours for each session. This gives us plenty of time for diaper changes, feedings, and soothing your little one, ensuring the experience is relaxed and enjoyable for both you and your baby.
What if I want to do an in home session but my house isn't "Pinterest" worthy?
Your home doesn’t need to be perfectly styled or spotless for an in-home newborn session. What matters most is capturing the love, warmth, and everyday moments you share with your little one. I focus on creating a calm, comfortable environment and finding the best light and spaces in your home, so you can relax and enjoy the session without worrying about every detail. The real beauty comes from the connection between you and your baby, not a perfectly arranged room.
What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?
The best time for a newborn photography session is usually within the first 5 to 14 days after birth. During this window, babies are naturally sleepier and more flexible, making it easier to capture those curled-up, in-the-womb poses. They’re also generally calmer, which helps the session run more smoothly, and their soft, fresh skin and hair look beautiful in photos. Late morning or right after a nap is often the ideal time of day, when babies are most settled and parents feel relaxed. I recommend booking your session during pregnancy to secure your spot, and keeping some flexibility in mind, as every baby has their own schedule.
